Hi Pauline, Thanks for your comment. We have only just moved to Albury ourselves but so far so good! It is a great size, easy to get around and very friendly.
Being a Pom, I guess you'd like to know about the weather??? Very hot in the summer (high 30's to low 40's) - that's degrees. Winter is cold, although not at cold as England. It's only about an hour's drive from the snow fields and 3 hours from Melbourne. There are lots of beautiful places within a 100km radius of Albury/Wodonga.
What made you decide on this area? What kind of visa are you trying to get? Are you organising jobs before you come over?
We have 4 children (I know it doesn't say on our profile)...they are the ones featured in our blogspot. Their ages range from 7 years to 12 weeks. Albury is certainly a great place to raise kids. Good schools, lots of sporting facilities and reasonalbly afordable.
